The House of Mirrors

The House of Mirrors

Home is where your heart is, and it’s where you go to find solace and comfort. It must reflect your artistic sense and personality; you can’t just walk into a room and not see yourself there.

With our 4.5 BHK project for our esteemed clients Shilpi and Arumay Das, which serves as an example of our work from birthing an idea into a house through our designers passion for interior design, we can’t help but be inspired. Punctiliously carving our clients; desires into a place that makes memories that only its dwellers will experience

Luxury has different connotations; we have our interpretation of luxury that boasts a contemporary design theme with rich flourishes and reflections of mirrors around the décor theme. With well- defined objectives, the common spaces were intentionally painted white, which makes the space look larger.

The idea was to play with mirrors and golden pop-ups to add a pinch of opulence to the space without overpowering its overall aesthetic. Adorned with lovely reflections from all directions and laced with vibrant white hues, golden pop-ups, and liveliness that symbolise the start of a new life.

Designer’s talk

Unleashing our designer Madhuri Muralidharan’s take on interiors adding a touch of Alice in wonderland to it. Interior design isn’t a single sport, it’s takes a humongous amount of team work to reflect dreams into reality. We go through several reworks and adjustments before getting to the
final outcome that the client approved.

In order to accommodate our clients request for a concealed pooja unit, we had to break open the allocated Pooja room and carve out a niche for it while also widening the passageway, which immediately gave the area a sense of space.

Children’s bedrooms have unique design issues and need effective use of the limited space. In addition to the standard false ceiling for lights in the house, we experimented with the lovely cloud pattern in the daughter’s room and the hexagons in the son’s room.

Not only our designers, but also the arduous hours our client spent conceptualising the idea helped everyone stay on the same page and give the project its final shape. Envisioning our clients requirements and knew exactly what needed to be done to make a bold statement through our
design.

Master Bedroom

Doused in an amalgamation of colour’s and blanketed with various textures and patterns, this master bedroom exudes inimitable grandeur while elegantly weaving comfort and luxury together. A master bedroom with a regal theme, this spacious room needed more than just a feature wall to make an impact that makes the bed the star in this blue scheme.

The striking colour of the exquisitely crafted headboard and cot commands attention, while the tinted mirrors on either side produce mesmerising reflections and amplify light from the tall windows. The wardrobes; modest use of ivory complements and elevates the splendid headboard.

Dining Area

This dining area opens up to the living room and kitchen island, providing enchanting entertainment and dining options. While designing a space that intrigues and promotes conversation among guests, it may be difficult to achieve a calm and intimate atmosphere in the dining room without sacrificing flare.

Adhering to the décor theme with mirrors, the wall is tinted with mirrors, and the vibrant emerald green chairs bring a spark of colour to this pleasant, neutral room. Dine in style, and let’s click our glasses and raise a toast to the good times.

Kitchen

Diverting the focus towards a pristine, all-white modular kitchen with a gorgeous backsplash made
of geometric tiles, while the bevelled mirror highlights an acrylic counter that showcases a lovely display area for the crockery.

The kitchen island separates the working kitchen area from the rest of the dining space.

Entryway

Making a first impression with a well-designed entryway, which is full of décor ideas that play around the use of mirrors and white hues, sets the tone for the entire house.

The mirrored and fluted panel with a Buddha statue, as well as the wall-to-wall storage that also serves as dramatic wall panelling, command immediate attention as you enter.

Pooja Room

The client wanted the Pooja room to be concealed as it has a direct view from the entryway. It’s like
a secret door that opens to a nice Pooja unit

When not in use, the pooja unit’s mirrored shutters cleverly conceal the unit and enhance the impression of space in the hallway.

Living room

The living area serves as an ideal illustration of how to incorporate 3D elements to enhance focus without sacrificing the spaces monochromatic appearance. We employed a rafter highlight and 3D
tile back panelling for this kind of design.

Our décor motif flows gracefully into the living area, with accents of gold all over. The ivory TV unit with golden accents serves the dual purposes of serving functionality and enhancing the aesthetic value of a space to effortlessly integrate the television into the decor.

Boy’s Bedroom

A nautical motif with a crisp of blue and a dab of mustard yellow in the boys; room is a simple approach to designing a fun, adventurous place in a stylish way while also attempting to keep it gender neutral.

As part of this combination of geometrics and colours, we created hexagonal geometric patterns on the wall and false ceiling to make them more aesthetically pleasing.

Girl’s Bedroom

Adding a girly twist to the bedroom with a subtle colour palette and matching it up with a salmon pink curtain. Adhering to the mirror theme, the wall features mirrors and also have a clean and sleek dressing unit that’s finished in ivory colour tones.

The study nook and the window bay seater in the bedroom provide excellent space utilisation, making them ideal for both working and relaxing. Its aesthetic appeal is also enhanced by the unique cloud false ceiling.
